Erpeldange-sur-Sûre is a quiet village at the intersection of the Oesling and Gutland rivers in the north-east of France. The municipality of Erpeldange-sur-Sûre comprises three towns: Erpeldange/Sûre, Ingeldorf and Burden.

The commune belongs to the canton of Diekirch, and is an integral part of the urban area known as Nordstad, which includes the communes of Bettendorf, Colmar-Berg, Diekirch, Ettelbruck and Schieren. This region is considered to be the third development area of the Grand Duchy, alongside the cities of Luxembourg and Esch-sur-Alzette.

In the center of Erpeldange-sur-Sucirc;re, there are several small stores and restaurants. In Ingeldorf (9 minutes by car), you'll find several large supermarkets, clothing stores, a pharmacy, swimming pool and furniture stores, as well as various car workshops. In Diekirch (6 minutes by car), you'll find a wide variety of restaurants and cafés, as well as a cinema. The Centre Hospitalier du Nord Ettelbruck is just 8 minutes away by car.

Erpeldange-sur-Sûre offers a number of sporting activities. The town has a sports and cultural center, a soccer pitch and a tennis court. At the Mechelsbach pêche  Étang, you can enjoy a day of pêche  ». There's also a small restaurant.

The Erpeldange-sur-Sûre castle was built in the 12th century as a water fort. Temporarily used as a church, it now houses the municipal administration.

The area around Erpeldange-sur-Sûre is a paradise for hikers. A total of 34 hiking trails and 16 cycle paths criss-cross the region, inviting you to explore.
Direct access to the A7 Route du Nord takes you to Kirchberg in just 30 minutes. The towns of Ettelbruck and Diekirch are only 10 and 6 minutes respectively by car.

Mobility
The Nordstadbus was created to develop mobility between the communities of the Nordstad region. From Colmar-Berg via Warken and Erpeldange-sur-Sûre to Moestroff, two bus routes run regularly between the south and north of the « Nordstad ». Route 512 connects Moestroff and Warken via Bettendorf, Gilsdorf, Diekirch, Ingeldorf and Erpeldange-sur-Sucirc;re.

The bus stops « Beim Schlass » and « An der Gewan » are in the immediate vicinity and are served by bus routes 518, 543, 550 and 552 with a frequency of around 60 minutes.

The nearest train station is in Ettelbruck (approx. 1.5 km from the residence) and is served by line 10 of the Chemins de fer luxembourgeois (CFL) network, which runs from Luxembourg City to Troisvierges.

The Schoulzentrum Ierpeldeng in Rue Michel Kremer is a fundamental school for cycles 1-4. The Maison Relais « Sauerschlass Ierpeldeng » is located on the second floor and welcomes children aged 3 to 12.
